Donovan Wolfington

Donovan Wolfington was a pivotal figure in the 2010s New Orleans DIY scene, bridging the gap between traditional emo-revival sounds and a more eclectic, aggressive form of indie rock. Formed in 2011, the band's trajectory was marked by a constant evolution from the relatively straightforward punk-influenced 'Stop Breathing' to the more experimental and polished 'How to Treat the Ones You Love.'

Their sound is characterized by the dual songwriting and vocal contributions of Neil Berthier and Matthew Seferian, which provided a dynamic range of perspectives and styles. Culturally, they were a cornerstone of the Community Records roster, helping define the 'New Orleans sound' within the national emo landscape.
