Ellie Dixon

Witty, DIY pop built from kitchen sounds and dense vocal stacks. It is the sound of a hyper-organized mind finding joy in the everyday chaos of being human.

Intro

Ellie Dixon makes music that feels like a meticulously curated scrapbook coming to life. It is bright, percussive, and intensely clever, often built from the literal sounds of a home: the clink of a mug, the snap of a ruler, or the scratch of stationery. Her production is crisp and tactile, favoring rhythmic ingenuity over standard synth washes, which gives her tracks a physical, bouncy quality that is hard to ignore.

What truly sets her apart is her obsession with vocal architecture. Drawing from her background in mathematics, she stacks harmonies with a precision that feels both lush and clinical. Her lyrics tackle the heavy lifting of modern life, specifically ADHD and anxiety, but she does so with a playful, self-aware wink that makes the medicine go down with a spoonful of sugar. It is pop music for the overthinkers who still want to dance.

Start with the EP Crikey! It's My Psyche to hear her signature blend of found-object percussion and introspective wit. If you want to see her technical prowess in action, her viral track Swing! perfectly captures the infectious, high-concept energy that has made her a standout in the UK alt-pop scene.

Eleanor Charlotte Siobhan Dixon, age 27–28 is an English musician. Born in Foxton, Cambridgeshire, she released three EPs while studying for a maths degree, then gigged for around six months and released two further singles. Following the COVID-19 lockdown in the United Kingdom shutting down the country's live event industry, she started uploading content to her social media, where she attracted attention for her deconstruction of song harmonies and original verses. She released Crikey! It's My Psyche in 2021 and signed to Decca Records in 2022. After going viral for her "Jota on the Wing" football chant in 2023, she released In Case of Emergency later that year, and in 2024, she featured on Charlieeeee's "Bumped in the Head". She is a member of Loud LDN and is noted for her use of unorthodox instrumentation, such as mugs, stationery, and kitchen equipment.
