Formed in Seoul in 2012, EXID is a South Korean girl group known for their synth-pop and K-pop sound. The ensemble, featuring members Heo Sol-ji, LE, Seo Hye-lin, Hani, Park Jeong-hwa, and Kang Hye-yeon, achieved mainstream recognition in 2014 with their viral hit Up & Down. Following several successful EPs and a studio album, the group eventually shifted their focus toward Japanese releases under the Tokuma Shoten label during their hiatus from domestic activities.
