Intro

Eye Empire delivers a masterclass in the heavy-yet-melodic sound that dominated the 2010s rock landscape. It is music built on a foundation of thick, down-tuned guitar riffs and a rhythm section that hits with the precision of a sledgehammer. The sound is undeniably massive, characterized by a studio-polished sheen that makes every drum fill and vocal harmony feel larger than life. It occupies that sweet spot between the aggression of metal and the accessibility of radio rock.

What sets them apart is the sheer technical pedigree of the members. As a supergroup, they avoid the pitfalls of generic post-grunge by injecting complex syncopation and sophisticated vocal arrangements into their songs. Donald Carpenter's voice is the focal point, capable of shifting from a vulnerable, melodic croon to a powerful, gritty belt that can cut through the densest wall of sound. The interplay between the driving basslines and the soaring choruses creates a sense of constant forward momentum.

Start with 'Moment of Impact' to hear the band at their most raw and hungry. It captures the initial spark of their collaboration, featuring some of their most iconic riffs and guest appearances that solidify their place in the heavy rock pantheon. It is the perfect entry point for anyone who craves music that is both emotionally resonant and sonically punishing.

Eye Empire is an American rock band formed in 2009, consisting of Corey Lowery and B.C. Kochmit, Donald Carpenter, Garrett Whitlock and Dixie Duncan. Will Hunt joined the band in 2010 before departing in 2011, replaced by Ryan Bennett. The band recorded their debut album Moment of Impact in 2010 featuring contributions from Sevendust members Lajon Witherspoon and Morgan Rose. The album was given a limited release the same year, with a full release planned for 2011. In 2012 the album was released in an expanded edition under the title Impact. In 2013, the band released their second album, Evolve.
