Fant4stik

Fant4stik is a French supergroup formed in 2014, comprising four of the most influential figures in the Hardtek and Frenchcore scenes: Billx, Floxytek, Guigoo, and Mat Weasel Busters. Their sound represents a pivotal shift in the hard-dance evolution, specifically the 'Frenchcore' movement of the mid-2010s which began incorporating higher production values and EDM-style melodic structures.

Debuting at the Monegros Festival, they quickly established a reputation for a high-energy live show that utilized live instrumentation like keytars and pads alongside traditional decks. Their work is characterized by the 'psy-kick' influence and Melbourne bounce synth leads, creating a hybrid genre often referred to as 'Hard-EDM.' Their 2016 collaboration with Dr. Peacock further cemented their position at the forefront of the Frenchcore explosion, helping the genre transition from underground raves to major international festival stages. Critically, they are seen as the architects of a more accessible, polished version of hardcore that maintains its underground intensity while embracing pop-inflected hooks.
