Intro

Filur sounds like the intersection of a high-end Scandinavian design studio and a sun-drenched Mediterranean beach club. Their music is rooted in the house traditions of the late 90s and early 2000s, characterized by crisp drum programming, shimmering synth textures, and an undeniable sense of melodic elegance. It is dance music that feels equally at home on a hi-fi system as it does on a club floor.

What makes them distinctive is the collaborative chemistry between Tomas Barfod and Kasper Bjørke. They possess a rare ability to curate guest vocalists who bring a soulful, human touch to their meticulously polished electronic backdrops. Unlike the aggressive edges of modern EDM, Filur favors warmth, groove, and a sophisticated pop sensibility that gives their tracks a timeless, breezy quality.

Start with 'I Want You' to hear their peak crossover appeal, then dive into the album 'Exciting Comfort' for a masterclass in early 2000s Nordic electronica. It is the ideal soundtrack for moments that require a bit of lift without sacrificing cool.

Filur is a Danish Electronic dance music duo established in 1999, consisting of producer Tomas Barfod and vocalist Kasper Bjørke. They also feature many guest artists for their releases. The duo has toured extensively in the United States, Europe and Japan and had special album release Peace for the Japanese market.
