Fingertight was an American alternative rock band from Martinez, California, that emerged during the tail end of the post-grunge and nu-metal boom of the early 2000s. Signed to Columbia Records, they released their most significant work, 'In the Name of Progress', in 2003.
Their sound identity is characterized by a hybrid of aggressive post-grunge textures, the melodic sensibilities of second-wave emo, and occasional nu-metal rhythmic influences.
