Fuck the Facts

Fuck the Facts is a seminal Canadian grindcore outfit that evolved from Topon Das's 1990s solo noise project into a full-band powerhouse. Based in Gatineau, Quebec, they have spent over two decades refining a sound they describe as 'bastardized grindcore.'

Their identity is defined by the juxtaposition of traditional grind elements, such as relentless blast beats and guttural/shrieked vocal interplay, with avant-garde sensibilities including field recordings, electronic textures, and clean guitar breaks. The arrival of vocalist Mel Mongeon in the early 2000s marked a significant shift, as her piercing, high-register screams became a signature element of their sonic profile.
