Fused

Fused was a Swedish electronic trio consisting of producers Max Reich and Samuel Malm alongside vocalist Petra Hallberg. Emerging at the turn of the millennium, they became key figures in the European lounge and downtempo scene, particularly with their 2001 debut 'Audio'.

Their sound identity is characterized by a high-fidelity approach to trip-hop, eschewing the genre's typical grit for a sleek, melodic, and atmospheric aesthetic. Max Reich, later known for his work in the house music duo SHM (with Steve Angello), provided a sophisticated rhythmic foundation that bridged the gap between club culture and home listening. Critically, Fused is often grouped with artists like Solasoap and Vienna DC, representing a specific era of 'lifestyle' electronic music that prioritized mood and texture.
