Aggressive, metallic bass music that shifts from chaotic dubstep drops to introspective, melodic trap. High-energy sound design for late nights and loud speakers.
Getter's music is a visceral collision of heavy metal intensity and digital precision. It sounds like machinery being pushed to its breaking point, characterized by 'gnarly' synths that screech and growl over punishingly heavy sub-bass. While his early work defined the aggressive 'brostep' era, his later output introduces a surprising amount of melodic depth and atmospheric texture, blending the raw energy of a mosh pit with the intricate details of experimental electronica.
What sets him apart is his refusal to stay in one lane. He treats sound design like a playground, often incorporating surrealist elements and hip-hop rhythms that feel both playful and menacing. There is a distinct 'shred' aesthetic to his work, a nod to his background as a drummer and guitar player, which translates into complex rhythmic patterns and a gritty, DIY spirit that persists even in his most polished studio productions.
Start with 'Visceral' if you want to hear his most ambitious, genre-blurring work that leans into emotion and atmosphere. For those looking for the high-octane, bass-heavy anthems that built his reputation, the 'Allegiance' EP or 'Wat the Frick' provide the quintessential heavy-hitting experience.
