Intro

Go:Audio sounds like the exact moment pop punk collided with the neon-drenched electropop of the late 2000s. It is a sugar-rush of sound, characterized by bright, jagged guitar riffs that compete for space with shimmering synthesizers and programmed bleeps. The absence of a traditional bassist gives the music a unique, mid-range punch, making the tracks feel lighter and more agile than their contemporaries. It is music designed for movement, filled with infectious hooks and a relentless, driving energy.

What truly distinguishes them is their refusal to choose between the grit of a garage band and the polish of a dance floor. While the vocals carry that classic British alternative lilt, the production is unapologetically glossy, utilizing electronic transitions and layered keys to create a wall of sound that feels both futuristic and nostalgic. They captured the specific optimism of the MySpace era, where genre boundaries were beginning to dissolve into a singular, high-energy pop experience.

Start with the single 'Made Up Stories' to hear their formula at its most potent. It perfectly encapsulates their ability to blend a massive rock chorus with a danceable electronic pulse. From there, dive into the 'Woodchuck EP' to hear the raw, frantic energy that first made them a staple of the UK alternative scene.

Go:Audio are an English pop rock band from London, England. The band's sound implemented influences from pop punk and electropop, often using synthesizers and programming tools. They were also noted for not using a bassist and also supporting such bands as McFly, Scouting for Girls, hellogoodbye, Zebrahead and Bowling for Soup. In 2008, they were nominated for "Best British Newcomer" at the Kerrang! Awards, which was won by Slaves to Gravity. They released their debut extended play, Woodchuck, in March 2008 and along with the success of singles "Woodchuck" and "Made Up Stories", which made the UK Top 40, and She Left Me. They released their third single, "Drive to the City", on 20 April 2009. They released their first full-length album on 11 May 2009, titled Made Up Stories. On 26 November 2009, they announced on their MySpace blog that the band had split.
