This early era, captured on the compilation 'Always Mist', established a sound identity rooted in lo-fi dream pop, utilizing tape saturation and dense reverb to create a 'murky' but consoling atmosphere. Over time, the project evolved from a solo act into a full four-piece band, signing with the prestigious FatCat Records.
