Formed in 1989 in Champaign, Illinois, Hum is an American band recognized for blending alternative metal, rock, and space rock. The group achieved widespread recognition with their 1995 radio single, "Stars." Following a lengthy hiatus after 2000, the band reunited in 2015 for live performances. In 2020, they returned to the studio to release Inlet, marking their first collection of new music in more than two decades.
