Pristine soprano vocals soaring over lush orchestral arrangements. High-drama classical crossover that feels like a winter evening in a grand cathedral.
The music is a masterclass in polish and poise, defined by a voice that sounds far older and more experienced than the person behind it. It is built on a foundation of sweeping cinematic strings, delicate piano melodies, and the kind of reverb that makes every note feel like it is echoing through a massive marble hall. There is a profound sense of stillness and reverence here, even when the arrangements swell into massive, theatrical climaxes.
What makes this distinctive is the uncanny technical precision of the vocals. While many crossover artists lean into pop sensibilities, this sound remains firmly rooted in operatic tradition, emphasizing breath control and vibrato that feels both fragile and immensely powerful. It captures a specific sense of wonder, blending the innocence of a young performer with the gravity of centuries-old musical forms.
Start with 'Dream With Me' to hear the definitive collaboration with David Foster that solidified her place in the crossover pantheon. It showcases the perfect balance between accessible melodies and grand, symphonic scale. If you are looking for something more atmospheric, her holiday work provides the ultimate soundtrack for a quiet, snowy night.
