Formed in 1982 in Whalley Range, Manchester, the alternative rock band James rose to prominence throughout the 1990s. The group, featuring members Jim Glennie, Tim Booth, Mark Hunter, Andy Diagram, David Baynton-Power, and Saul Davies, achieved significant commercial success with hits like "Sit Down" and "Laid." After a brief hiatus following Booth's 2001 departure, the band reunited in 2007, maintaining a prolific recording schedule and a consistent focus on live performance.
