Jonas Fjeld

Jonas Fjeld, born Terje Jensen, is a cornerstone of the Norwegian roots and country-rock scene, possessing a career that serves as a bridge between Scandinavian folk traditions and North American Americana. Emerging in the 1970s with the Jonas Fjeld Rock & Rolf Band, he initially explored a humorous, eclectic rock sound before maturing into a serious, highly respected singer-songwriter.

His mid-80s work, particularly 'Neck 'n' Neck', solidified his reputation as a premier rock craftsman in Norway, earning multiple Spellemannprisen awards. A pivotal shift occurred in the early 1990s through his collaboration with Rick Danko (The Band) and Eric Andersen, which introduced his weathered baritone to an international audience and cemented his identity as a transatlantic artist.
