Łąki Łan

Hyper-energetic 'meadow funk' that pairs heavy slap bass with psychedelic nature-worship. High-octane, colorful, and impossible to sit still to.

Intro

Imagine a group of humans who decided to stop being people and start being highly-evolved, funk-obsessed insects. This is the sound of a meadow coming to life at 140 beats per minute, blending the raw thumping energy of 70s funk with the neon sheen of modern electronic production. It is maximalist, loud, and unashamedly joyful, trading in a specific brand of 'Łąki Funk' that feels like a spiritual ritual performed at a rave.

What truly sets them apart is the commitment to the bit. The music isn't just funky; it's biologically obsessed, filled with lyrics about pollen, wings, and the earth, delivered with a theatrical intensity that borders on the shamanic. The rhythm section is world-class, providing a rock-solid foundation of slap bass and tight drumming that allows the synths and guitars to spiral into psychedelic territory without ever losing the groove.

Start with the album 'Armanda' to hear them at their most cohesive and powerful. It’s the perfect entry point for anyone who wants to understand how a band can be both a serious musical powerhouse and a surrealist comedy troupe at the exact same time.

Łąki Łan (Polish: [wɔ̃ki wan]) (Polish: Meadow's Field) is a Polish band consisting of Jarosław Jóźwik, Michał Chęć, Piotr Koźbielski, Piotr Pacak, and former Sistars musicians Bartek Królik and Marek Piotrowski. Its style is a mixture of "punk and funky" or "Łąki Funk", as the band calls it. Hailed one of the best concert groups in Poland, the band is known for their energetic, colorful, humorous shows and imaginative concert outfits that resemble various insects.
