Krokus is Switzerland's most successful hard rock export, emerging in the mid-1970s as a progressive act before pivoting to a high-voltage hard rock sound that earned them international acclaim in the 1980s. The arrival of vocalist Marc Storace in 1980 marked a turning point, aligning the band with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal's energy while retaining a bluesy, AC/DC-inspired foundation.
