Logan

Muscular, anthemic hard rock with a post-grunge heart. Gritty baritone vocals meet thick guitar walls for a sound that belongs on a highway at midnight.

Intro

Logan delivers a brand of rock that feels both massive and intimate. It is built on the foundation of the 2000s post-grunge movement, characterized by heavy, down-tuned guitar riffs and soaring, melodic choruses that demand to be shouted. The production is surprisingly slick for an independent outfit, offering a 'wall of sound' experience that mimics the stadium-filling energy of their biggest influences.

What sets them apart is the specific vocal texture of Kenny Collins. His voice carries a weathered, raspy quality that adds a layer of authenticity and emotional weight to the songs. Unlike some of their more commercial contemporaries, there is a persistent Scottish grit underneath the polished surface, a sense of blue-collar urgency that keeps the music grounded even when the arrangements reach for the rafters.

Start with 'Cruel Little World' to hear the band at their most cohesive. It captures the perfect balance between their aggressive hard rock tendencies and the hook-driven songwriting that allowed them to chart independently. It is the ideal soundtrack for anyone who misses the era when rock was unashamedly big, loud, and earnest.

Logan were a Scottish rock band, formed in 2003 in Glasgow. The line-up consists of Kenny Collins (vocals), Max McPherson (lead guitar), Mick Coll (rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Stef Lach (bass). They have been compared to various post-grunge bands such as Creed, Nickelback and Alter Bridge. Logan released five studio albums – First Leaf Fallen (2003); Welcome to the Wasteland (2004); Cruel Little World (2006); Exposed (2007), and The Great Unknown (2010). Despite being unsigned, Logan have managed to sell over 30,000 albums, with two singles reaching the Top 40 in the UK Rock Singles Chart.
