Los Piojos are a cornerstone of 'Rock Nacional,' specifically the 'rock barrial' movement that dominated Argentina in the 1990s. Formed in El Palomar, their sound identity is defined by a unique fusion of Anglo-rock influences (The Rolling Stones, Sumo) with local Rioplatense traditions like candombe, murga, and tango.
