Intro

Madame Gandhi creates music that feels like a shot of pure adrenaline mixed with a graduate seminar on liberation. Her sound is defined by her background as a world-class drummer, placing intricate, syncopated percussion at the very center of every track. It is bright, digital, and unapologetically loud, blending the grit of trap beats with the polished sheen of modern electropop.

What truly sets her apart is the integration of activism into the sonic fabric. Her vocals often sit somewhere between rhythmic rapping and urgent spoken word, delivering messages of female empowerment and fourth-wave feminism without ever sacrificing the groove. The production is sharp and intentional, using synthetic textures to create an atmosphere that feels both futuristic and deeply rooted in global rhythmic traditions.

Start with the 'Voices' EP to hear the foundational blend of heavy percussion and political messaging. It is the perfect entry point for anyone who wants their dance music to have a clear, defiant purpose. It is music designed to make you move your body while simultaneously expanding your perspective on gender and power.

Kiran Gandhi (born February 21, 1989), also known by her stage name Madame Gandhi, is an American electronic music producer, drummer, artist and activist. Gandhi's music career includes being a touring drummer for artists M.I.A., Thievery Corporation, and Kehlani. Her music and activism focuses on female empowerment and fourth-wave feminism. In 2015, Gandhi ran the London Marathon bleeding freely on her period to combat the menstrual stigma people face around the world, sparking a viral conversation about how menstruation is treated in various cultures. She has performed in music festivals such as Pitchfork, Lightning in a Bottle, Roskilde and SXSW.
