Mandragora

Mandragora is a cornerstone of the Lithuanian melodic death metal scene, formed in 1998. Their sound identity is built upon the foundational principles of the 'Gothenburg sound' - pioneered by bands like At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity - but infused with a distinctively somber, Baltic atmosphere.

Throughout their career, they have evolved from a raw, underground act into a technically proficient ensemble capable of complex arrangements and high-production value. Their 2005 album 'At the End' remains a critical touchstone for the region's metal output, showcasing their ability to weave intricate guitar harmonies into a framework of aggressive death metal.
