MaYaN

MaYaN is a Dutch symphonic death metal supergroup founded in 2010 by Mark Jansen (Epica, After Forever) alongside Jack Driessen and Frank Schiphorst. While Jansen's primary band, Epica, leans toward the melodic and accessible side of symphonic metal, MaYaN was conceived as a vehicle for more technical, aggressive, and death-metal-oriented compositions.

The band is notable for its 'vocalist collective' model, frequently featuring elite talent like Floor Jansen, Simone Simons, and Laura Macrì, which allows for a sophisticated interplay of operatic, clean, and extreme vocal styles.
