Formed in Los Angeles in 2008, MellowHype is an American alternative hip-hop duo featuring rapper-producers Hodgy and Left Brain. As members of the Odd Future collective, the pair released four mixtapes and two studio albums, both of which reached the Billboard 200. Throughout their career, the group maintained affiliations with labels including Odd Future Records and Fat Possum Records, establishing their place within the independent hip-hop scene.
