Mich Gerber is a Swiss virtuoso double-bassist and composer who has redefined the role of his instrument within contemporary electronic and jazz contexts. Emerging from Bern, Gerber developed a signature 'live sampling' technique that allows him to function as a one-man ensemble, layering bowed melodies, plucked basslines, and percussive strikes on the instrument's body.
