High-velocity garage rock with blown-out vocals and razor-sharp hooks. It sounds like a basement show happening inside a transistor radio. Pure, distorted energy.
Mike Krol makes music that feels like a controlled explosion. It is garage rock stripped of all its pretension and polished until it's just a jagged, distorted edge. The guitars are loud, the drums are frantic, and the vocals are almost always pushed through a layer of grit that makes them sound like they're being broadcast from a pirate radio station in a basement. It's short, sharp, and incredibly catchy.
What sets Krol apart is his background as a graphic designer. There is a visual precision to his chaos. Every song is a compact unit of energy, rarely overstaying its welcome, often clocking in under two minutes. It captures that specific feeling of being young, frustrated, and full of restless energy, but it does so with a melodic sensibility that keeps the hooks stuck in your head long after the feedback fades out.
Start with 'I Hate Jazz' for the rawest introduction to his sound, or jump into 'Power Chords' for a slightly more muscular take on his signature style. It's the perfect soundtrack for when you need to move fast, feel something loud, or just drown out the world with some high-quality noise.
