Moderatto

Moderatto emerged in 1999 as a side project for members of established Mexican indie and alternative bands like Fobia and Los Odio. Originally conceived as a parody of 1980s glam metal bands like Mötley Crüe and Poison, the group quickly transcended its novelty roots to become a mainstream powerhouse in Mexico.

Their sound identity is built on a foundation of hard rock and glam metal tropes, executed with the precision of seasoned pop producers. Throughout the 2000s, they revitalized the 'rock en español' scene by introducing a sense of camp and theatricality that contrasted with the earnestness of their contemporaries.
