Murmur

Murmur is a Chicago-based experimental metal outfit that has undergone a significant stylistic evolution since its inception in 2007. Initially rooted in the raw, depressive black metal scene with their debut 'Mainlining the Lugubrious', the band quickly pivoted toward a highly idiosyncratic blend of avant-garde metal and progressive rock.

Their 2014 self-titled release marked a watershed moment, incorporating heavy influences from the Zeuhl movement (Magma) and classic 70s prog (King Crimson, Genesis).
