Naytronix

Naytronix is the solo moniker of Nate Brenner, a virtuoso bassist and producer best known as a core member of the experimental pop outfit Tune-yards. Launched in 2012 with the album 'Dirty Glow,' the project serves as a laboratory for Brenner's fascination with the intersection of funk-derived bass playing and avant-garde electronic textures.

Unlike the frenetic maximalism of his primary band, Naytronix explores a more subdued, atmospheric palette, drawing heavily from the lineage of 1970s jazz-funk, early synth-pop, and modern psych-pop. His career arc shows a steady evolution from groove-centric indie pop toward more expansive, ambient-leaning soundscapes, particularly on later releases like 'Air' and 'Other Possibilities.'
