Ohota is the solo electronic project of Ivan, a Russian-born producer whose career has traversed electro-punk and hardcore techno before settling into a sophisticated, dark melodic soundscape. Emerging from the Berlin underground scene around 2016, Ohota represents a shift away from the aggressive 'Gazovaya Eblya' era toward a more introspective and atmospheric approach.

His sound identity is defined by heavy use of tape saturation, analog synthesis, and a 'murky' mixing style that aligns him with the lo-fi techno and outsider house movements of the mid-2010s. Critically, his work is noted for its ability to evoke specific architectural and geographic moods, often described as 'brutalist' or 'post-industrial.'
