Intro

Olof Dreijer creates electronic music that feels both surgically precise and remarkably organic. His sound is defined by a liquid quality, where synths ripple and percussion pops with a tactile, three-dimensional presence. It is music that rewards close attention, revealing layers of micro-detail and subtle polyrhythms that shift just beneath the surface of the groove.

What sets Dreijer apart is his ability to blend the clinical coldness of minimal techno with a playful, colorful curiosity. Whether he is exploring gender through his Oni Ayhun alias or collaborating with global percussionists, there is a consistent focus on the 'feel' of the sound. His rhythms often lean into Batida or Baile Funk influences, but they are filtered through a high-definition, experimental lens that makes them feel entirely his own.

For those new to his solo work, the recent 'Coral' or 'Brujas' releases are excellent entry points. They showcase his modern evolution: a sophisticated blend of club-ready energy and avant-garde soundscapes that work as well in a focused home listening session as they do in a dark, discerning nightclub.

Olof Björn Dreijer (born 27 November 1981) is a Swedish DJ and record producer, best known as one half of the electronic music duo the Knife, formed with his sibling Karin Dreijer. Although the Knife very rarely performed live concerts, Olof performs as DJ Coolof in nightclubs across Europe, though only at events with equal gender representation on the artist lineup—with no more than 50% people who identify as men. In late 2009 and early 2010, Olof released four EPs under the pseudonym Oni Ayhun. In late 2010, he released a remix of Emmanuel Jal's "Kuar". In 2011, he produced the song "Jam" by Planningtorock from the album W. Upon being asked to DJ in Tel Aviv, Dreijer stated that he supports the international cultural boycott of Israel and the BDS movement in support of Palestinian rights. Dreijer and the Knife have supported this boycott for many years.
