Formed in Stockholm in 1997, Pain is the industrial metal project of Swedish musician Peter Tägtgren. Originally conceived as a personal hobby, the act serves as a creative outlet for Tägtgren to blend heavy metal aesthetics with 1980s-inspired techno and electronic elements. Currently signed to Nuclear Blast, Pain functions as a solo endeavor led by the multi-talented producer and Hypocrisy frontman, who remains the project's sole creative force.
