Intro

Peter Bence transforms the grand piano from a polite recital instrument into a thundering, percussive beast. His sound is defined by incredible physical velocity and a rhythmic intensity that feels more like a rock concert than a conservatory. By using the entire body of the piano as a percussion instrument, he creates a wall of sound that mimics a full band, blending classical precision with the infectious energy of a stadium pop show.

What makes him truly distinctive is his background in film scoring and electronic production. He doesn't just play the notes; he engineers the sound of the piano to feel massive, often incorporating loops or innovative techniques like plucking the internal strings. It is a maximalist approach to the instrument that prioritizes impact, speed, and a cinematic sense of drama that keeps the listener on the edge of their seat.

Start with his viral rendition of 'Despacito' to hear how he deconstructs a global hit into a rhythmic masterclass. From there, move to 'The Awesome Piano' for a mix of high-energy covers and original compositions that showcase his technical world-record-holding speed and his ability to make a single instrument sound like an entire orchestra.

Peter Bence (Hungarian: Péter Bence; born 5 September 1991) is a Hungarian pianist, composer and music producer. He has gained considerable popularity with his piano arrangements of "Despacito", Michael Jackson, Queen and Sia collecting over 500 million video hits and a popular following on his YouTube channel and Facebook page. His most viewed video of all time is his lively rendition of "Despacito." Bence holds a Master of Arts in Film Scoring and Electronic Production & Design from the Berklee College of Music (2010-2015). Between January 2012 and March 2017 he held the world record for most piano key hits in one minute (765) according to the Guinness book of records.
