Phrenelith

Phrenelith is a cornerstone of the modern Danish death metal scene, often referred to as 'København Death Metal.' Formed in 2013, the band shares significant DNA with local legends Undergang, but pivots away from gore-soaked filth toward a more atmospheric, cosmic, and subterranean horror.

Their sound identity is defined by a dense, murky production style that emphasizes low-end frequencies and cavernous reverb, placing them in a lineage that includes Incantation and early Bolt Thrower. Throughout their career, they have evolved from the raw aggression of their early demos to the sophisticated, multi-layered compositions found on 'Chimaera' and 'Ashen Womb.'
