Pink Skies

Pink Skies is the solo moniker of Oakland-raised multi-instrumentalist and producer Arieh Berl. Emerging in the late 2010s, the project quickly carved out a niche within the 'indie-psych' boom, bridging the gap between the DIY bedroom pop movement and the more polished psychedelic rock of Tame Impala.

Berl’s sound identity is defined by a heavy reliance on vintage-voiced synthesis, chorus-laden electric guitars, and a vocal delivery that favors texture and mood over raw power. His work often explores themes of escapism, romance, and the passage of time, mirrored by a production style that utilizes tape saturation and analog-style delays to create a 'sun-bleached' aesthetic.
