Irish singer, songwriter, and producer Róisín Murphy rose to prominence in the 1990s as a member of the pop duo Moloko. Following the group's dissolution, she transitioned to a successful solo career, debuting with the critically acclaimed Ruby Blue in 2005. Murphy has since released several solo albums, including Overpowered, Hairless Toys—which earned Mercury and Choice Music Prize nominations—and Take Her Up to Monto, spanning the pop and indie pop genres.
