Sebastian 'Rahim' Salbert is a foundational figure in Polish hip-hop, representing the highly influential 'Silesian school' of rap. Emerging in the late 1990s with the experimental group 3xKlan, he helped pioneer the 'psycho-rap' subgenre, characterized by dark, surrealist imagery and psychological themes.
His career reached a critical apex as a member of Paktofonika, whose debut album 'Kinematografia' is widely considered one of the most important records in the history of Polish music, blending social realism with poetic abstraction. Following the tragic dissolution of Paktofonika, Rahim transitioned into a successful solo career and formed the duo Pokahontaz with Fokus, further refining a sound that incorporates elements of dubstep, electronic, and alternative hip-hop.
