RIKI

RIKI is the Los Angeles-based solo project of Niff Nawor, a musician who transitioned from the aggressive deathrock of Crimson Scarlet to a sophisticated, synth-driven pop aesthetic. Emerging in 2017, RIKI quickly established a signature sound that synthesizes Italo disco, Neue Deutsch Welle, and classic 4AD-style darkwave.

The project is characterized by a meticulous use of analog hardware, favoring the tactile warmth of vintage synthesizers and the precise, driving rhythms of the Roland TR-series drum machines. Critically, RIKI is viewed as a leader in the modern synth-pop revival, moving away from the lo-fi 'bedroom' sound toward a more polished, studio-focused 'hi-fi' noir.
