Riverside emerged from Warsaw in 2001 as a pivotal force in the European progressive rock revival. Founded by Mariusz Duda and the late Piotr Grudziński, the band successfully bridged the gap between the atmospheric art rock of Pink Floyd and the technical edge of Opeth.
Their early 'Reality Dream' trilogy established a signature sound characterized by Duda's emotive baritone, prominent melodic bass lines, and Grudziński's soaring guitar work. Entity'. Following the tragic death of Grudziński in 2016, the band transitioned into a trio for the stark, acoustic-leaning 'Wasteland' before officially adding Maciej Meller. Critically, they are lauded for their 'liquid modernity' themes and high production values, maintaining a loyal global following within the InsideOut Music roster.
