High-octane tribal percussion meets turn-of-the-millennium trance. Intense, rhythmic mallet work designed for stadiums and peak-hour dance floors.
Formed in Copenhagen in 1990, the Danish percussion duo Safri Duo consists of Uffe Savery and Morten Friis. The pair transitioned from a classical foundation to blending tribal rhythms with electronica, trance, and pop. Their 2000 hit, Played-A-Live (The Bongo Song), and the subsequent album, Episode II, achieved significant global success. Signed to labels like Universal and Chandos Records, they remain among Denmark's most commercially successful international musical acts.
