Samsons emerged in 2003 as a cornerstone of the Indonesian pop-rock explosion of the mid-2000s. Formed in Jakarta, the band achieved immediate superstardom with their 2006 debut 'Naluri Lelaki', which utilized a sophisticated blend of radio-ready pop and cinematic orchestral elements.
Their sound identity is characterized by the 'Epic Pop' aesthetic, heavily influenced by Western adult contemporary and soft rock but filtered through a distinctly Indonesian lyrical lens of longing and romantic melancholy.
