Shpongle is the definitive project of the 'psybient' (psychedelic ambient) genre, formed by Simon Posford and Raja Ram. Posford, a legendary figure in psytrance as Hallucinogen, provides the technical wizardry, characterized by complex layering, granular synthesis, and a signature 'wet' production style.
Raja Ram, a veteran of the 60s psychedelic scene and The Infinity Project, provides the conceptual framework and the project's melodic soul through his flute playing.
