Sick Puppies emerged from the late 90s Australian rock scene, eventually finding massive global success through a combination of viral marketing and a refined post-grunge sound. Their 2006 'Free Hugs' campaign for the song 'All the Same' remains a landmark moment in early internet music promotion, bridging the gap between independent spirit and major label visibility.
