Born and raised in Inglewood, California, singer-songwriter Sir Darryl Andrew Farris, known as SiR, began his career with the 2015 independent release Seven Sundays. He subsequently signed with Top Dawg Entertainment, a Carson-based label. Under this partnership, he issued his sophomore project November in 2018. His third studio album, Chasing Summer, followed in 2019, released through a collaborative effort between Top Dawg Entertainment and RCA Records.
