Sonic Syndicate

Sonic Syndicate emerged from the fertile Swedish metal scene of the early 2000s, initially operating under the name Fallen Angels. Their sound is a quintessential example of the 'Gothenburg sound' evolving into the modern metalcore era.

The band's trajectory was significantly altered after winning a Nuclear Blast contest in 2007, which led to the release of Only Inhuman, produced by Jonas Kjellgren. This era established their signature dual-vocal dynamic between Richard Sjunnesson and Roland Johansson. Culturally, they represent the bridge between the underground death metal scene and the mainstream alternative metal of the late 2000s.
