Sweeping Promises

Sweeping Promises is an American post-punk duo consisting of Lira Mondal and Caufield Schnug. Emerging from the Boston DIY scene before relocating to Kansas, they gained significant critical traction with their 2020 debut, Hunger for a Way Out.

Their sound identity is inextricably linked to their 'single mic' recording philosophy, often utilizing unconventional spaces like concrete laboratories to achieve a distinctive, saturated, monaural aesthetic.
