Teto Preto

Teto Preto is a pivotal collective within the contemporary Brazilian electronic underground, emerging from the influential Mamba Negra party scene in São Paulo. Formed in 2014, the group functions as a multidisciplinary collaboration between producers L_cio and Zopelar, vocalist/visual artist Laura Diaz (Angela Carneosso), multi-instrumentalist Bica, and performer Loic Koutana.

Their sound identity is a sophisticated hybridization of dark techno, industrial, and avant-garde pop, often incorporating elements of samba and jazz to create a uniquely 'Tropicalist' take on electronic music. They are central figures in the 'Reclaiming the Jungle' movement, which repositioned São Paulo as a global hub for underground electronic culture, often compared to Berlin for its raw, warehouse-driven aesthetic.
