G. and Paragliders projects, The Ambush represents a more rhythmic and grounded side of his sound, often eschewing the soaring melodies of his other work for a darker, more percussive focus. The 1994 self-titled album remains a landmark of the era, showcasing a high level of technical proficiency with analog hardware. Critically, the project is seen as a bridge between the early Frankfurt trance scene and the more global progressive movement.
