Sparkling synth-pop with a jazz heart. Breathy vocals and retro-futurist beats that feel like a perfectly mixed cocktail on a sunny Los Angeles afternoon.
Formed in Los Angeles in 2006, the bird and the bee is an American synth-pop duo featuring vocalist Inara George and multi-instrumentalist Greg Kurstin. The pair began collaborating after meeting during the production of George’s debut solo record. Signed to Blue Note, the duo blends electronic elements with jazz influences. Kurstin, a nine-time Grammy winner, brings extensive industry experience to the project, which debuted with an EP in late 2006.
