Intro

The Geeks deliver a blistering, high-velocity brand of hardcore punk that feels like a shot of pure adrenaline. Their sound is defined by the 'youth crew' aesthetic: fast, aggressive, but fundamentally positive. It is music built for the community, characterized by thick guitar walls and a rhythm section that never lets up, creating a foundation for vocals that alternate between desperate shouts and triumphant group chants.

What truly sets them apart is their commitment to the Straight Edge philosophy within the South Korean underground scene. While many hardcore bands lean into nihilism, The Geeks lean into brotherhood and resilience. Their songs are structured around 'the break' - those moments where the music slows just enough for the entire room to join in on a vocal hook, turning a performance into a collective experience.

Start with 'Every Time We Fall' to hear them at their most polished and powerful. It captures the essence of their live energy while showcasing the melodic sensibilities that make their brand of hardcore so infectious. It is the perfect entry point for anyone who values speed, sincerity, and the power of a shared voice.

The Geeks is a hardcore punk band from South Korea. They were formed in 1999 by schoolmates Seo Kiseok (vocalist) and Kang Junsung (guitarist), shortly after discovering the existence of Korean punk through the Our Nation compilation put out by Drug Records.
